Introduzione
Ciao ragazzi, mi chiamo Adriano Castaldini e cerco volontari.
musicali elettroacustiche in rete.
Funziona così: i musicisti mettono in condivisione il
proprio audio-out e la propria webcam in live-streaming, diventando
"live-clip" mobili in una pagina web chiamata "sala". Queste clip
latenze perché i server devono immagazzinare ampi buffer.
progetto, lo troverà all'indirizzo

Introduction
(ENGLISH) [download the complete deneb project here]
Hi guys, my name is Adriano Castaldini and I’m looking for volunteers.
I’ve wrote the idea of a no-profit project named "deneb", in my dad’s memory.
This project is a free web-platform for electro-acoustic musical performances.
It works this way: musicians share their audio-out and webcam through
live-streaming, they become "live-clips" floating on a web-page named
"hall". These clips can be joined through virtual cables (like
patchcords in MaxMSP or PureData), allowing one’s audio-out to
enter another pc for live processing. For example, the live-clip of a
musician playing Bach on the piano could be connected to the clip of an
electronic musician using Max or Ableton. In this way Bach enters the
computer loading Ableton and this software can process the musician's
live-performance in real-time. Anyone can join it, becoming live-clip.
Moreover non-partecipating people can simply enjoy the recital, giving
a look at the "hall", entering the website. No limits on the number of
connections between live-clips, but remember you can listen to them only
one by one, just clicking on each.
This isn't the dear old electronic-music-on-network: no armoured
network or expensive tools here. On-line audience can watch and listen
to the "match" directly on the web! And this isn't the dear old web-tv,
damned slow to increase buffers!
Here, the game is in real-time, since it could be based on a
double-network-technique that arranges LAN and p2p-streaming (in this
way, the on-line game could be the mirror of faster LAN direct
connections between gamers).
So than, I’m only a piano-player and I practice electronic music,
but I’m not a web-designer or a software engineer. To give life
to this project I need a team of enthusiastic volunteers, wishing to
collaborate joining their knowledges. I'm looking for live-streaming
and p2p experts, web-designers for media-server or red5 gurus, I don't
know... you are the experts!
So, if you are interested in it, please visit adrjork.altervista.org/myworks/denebproject.html
Join it and write soon at adrjork@gmail.com
This project will be a gift to the web community and electronic music.
